Clergy and Staff

  • Peter Munson, Interim Rector

    Peter has been at St. John’s since August of 2023. One thing he loves about St. John’s is the feeding of body and spirit that happens every Tuesday night at the community dinners. In his spare time Peter likes to hang out with his family and friends, hike, cross-country ski, read, journal, travel, and root for the Colorado Rockies.

  • Sheila Brockmeier, Director of Children/Youth and Family Ministries

    Sheila has been at St. John’s for more than 15 years and in her role for about 7 years. One thing she loves about SJB is that it is very hard to narrow it to one thing. Sheila loves our remodeled, expanded building, our members and being part of the Episcopal Church in Colorado. You can find her doing baby or preschool story times at one of the three Summit County Libraries or walking her dog, Finn.

  • Jeanie Kramer, Director of Music

    Jeanie began as the Music Director/Organist in May 2011. One thing she loves about St. John's is the focus on community ministries that help families who find it difficult to live in an expensive resort community. Jeanie enjoys listening to music, photography, and reading.

  • Natalie Boyer, Parish Administrator and Vestry Clerk

    Natalie has been a part of the St. John’s community since 2019. She loves the Tuesday Community Dinners and feeding guests from the community. In her spare time she loves to read, knit, and be outdoors.

The Vestry

  • John Evans, Senior Warden

    John has been attending St John’s since moving to Summit County in 2005. He is honored to be involved in the leadership of this parish and deeply appreciate the spiritual community and opportunities for service here at St. John’s. Like most of us, he tries to spend his spare time outdoors!

  • Stu Read, Junior Warden

    Stu has been at St. John’s since 1993. One thing he loves about SJB is the people and how they support our little yellow church. In his spare time, you can find him hiking, biking, fly fishing, snowshoeing, alpine touring, and watching grandkids’ sporting events.

  • Kay Adamson

    Kay has been at St. John's since 2016. She loves the community; both in faith and in friendship. In her spare time you can find her spending time with family/ her granddaughter; taking classes, writing, learning watercolor painting; having fun times with friends; and pondering all of life’s mysteries.

  • Paul Burnham

    Paul and his wife Judy have been members of St. John’s since April 2018. One thing Paul really loves about the people at St. John’s is how much they love the outdoors and hiking. In his spare time you can find him running and training for a footrace.

  • Wally Ducayet

    Wally has been at St. John's since: 2003. One thing he loves about St. John's is the strong feeling of community. In his spare time you can find him hiking and walking, and volunteering my time to non- profits.

  • Carol Goodwin

    Carol has been a member of St.John’s since 1976 and loves the music. You can find her Skiing, cycling, sailing and spending time with family.

  • David Henderson

    David and Donna have been attending St. John’s since the fall of 2022. They both feel comfortable in the church. In his spare time you can find David on the slopes or on the links.

  • Ray Smith

    Ray has been at St John's since 2012. One thing he likes about St John's is the feeling of family. In his spare time you can find him walking the dog, skiing, biking, or traveling.

  • Karen Turner

    Karen has been at St. John's since 2010. She loves the people at St. John’s. In her spare time Karen likes to read, hike in the summer & downhill ski in the winter.

Lay Leaders

  • Jennifer Bettridge, Co-Chair Search Committee

    Jennifer has been at St. John’s since December, 2022. She loves how welcoming and friendly everyone is. In her spare time, Jennifer bikes, hikes, scuba dives, cooks, and drinks wine. 

  • Jim Brook, Men's Prayer Ministry

    Jim has been at St. John's since 2006. One thing he loves is our open-minded and friendly congregation. In his spare time Jim likes to ski, hike, bike, and connect with his grandchildren. 

  • Judy Burnham, Spiritual Sisterhood

    Judy has been at St.John’s since 2018. Judy loves that we can join together to make a difference in our community. St. John’s is a great group of people! Judy loves to play bridge, hike, bike, and read. 

  • Maggie Ducayet, Prayer Shawl Ministry and Eucharist Bread Baker

    Maggie has been at St. John's since 2003. She loves all of the different ministries and most importantly the congregation. In her spare time, Maggie does a whole bunch of things . . . mostly outreach; Summit in Honduras, the knitting ministry, and being the Eucharist Bread Baker!

  • Amy Evans, Altar Guild

    Amy has been at St. John's since 2005. One thing she loves about St. John's is the welcoming community. In her spare time you can find her painting landscapes and dogs.

  • Johanna Gibbs, Co-Chair Search Committee

    Johanna moved to Summit County over 20 years ago. On her first night here, out to dinner, she ran into the then-priest at St. Johns. She came to church the next Sunday. She has always found the community welcoming, accepting, and loving. One thing Johanna loves about St. John's is that we are encouraged and challenged to live our message of love out in the world – that we live our values! In her spare time you can find Johanna outside trying to keep up with her kids skiing, running, biking, rafting, hiking, playing tennis . . . and then napping!

  • Kathy Landon, Tuesday Community Dinner

    Kathy has been at SJB since  the fall of 2014. She loves the Spirit reflected in the Parish family. During the summer you can find her horseback riding and snowshoeing in winter.

  • Frances McWilliams, Jubilee Committee

    Frances has been at St. John's since 1998. One thing she loves is that she has never felt more a part of a community than at St. John's. In her spare time you can find Frances hiking.

  • Karla Schapansky, Verger and Flower Guild

    Karla has been at St. John’s for 18 years, with five years as a full-time resident. One thing she loves about St. John’s is the outreach into the community. In her spare time, you can find Kala riding her e-bike.
