Parents Day Out (PDO)-Policies and Procedures
I. Hours
a. Child care is provided from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Drop off anytime between 8:30 until 10 is permitted. Please pick up your children between 1:00 and 1:30
b. Parents may visit at any time to check on their child(ren).
II. Participants
a. You must pre-register no earlier than two months in advance and no later than 12 pm the Tuesday prior to the request date. Your admission must be confirmed by email or phone; we can only accept a limited number of children due to staffing and to ensure proper care. Drop-in participants will receive a confirmation email by 5 pm Tuesday prior to PDO date.
III. Snack
a. Midmorning snack will be provided for all children. If your child has specific allergies limiting the foods they can eat, please supply them with an extra snack and make sure to let us know.
IV. Lunch
a. Supply your child with appropriate lunch. We will not prepare anything you send, so please send a cold lunch to be eaten as it.
V. Outside
a. We may go outside at times, including walking to Carter Park. Please bring appropriate clothing for the weather (snow boots, winter jacket, gloves, hat, sun hat, etc.). If we go outside we will administer sunscreen SPF 30 or higher to exposed skin if not already done so.
VI. Sick Policy
a. Sick children are not allowed to attend PDO. If they become ill while attending PDO, we will call you to pick your child up.
VII. Medication Policy
a. We will not administer medication at PDO.
VIII. Last minute staff illnesses
a. It is possible for one of the workers of PDO to wake sick on Thursday morning. In the event that we are not able to get it covered, PDO will need to be cancelled for that specific day. If this was to happen and your child is signed up for that day we will call you ASAP and keep you informed.
IX. Proposed Schedule
8:30-9:30 Drop off, free play 11:30-12:00 Lunch
9:30-10:00 Snack time 12:00-1:00 Play/Quiet-time
10:00-11:30 Games, Art, Outside 1:00-1:30 Pick up
St. John’s Parent’s Day Out is a ministry program with little to no funding. In order to keep the best program possible for your children, if you are able to pay, we ask for
Suggested donation
$25 per child for drop in, $45 for two children
$20 per child monthly sign-up, $35 for two
(All rates are per day)
* one group snack per child per month
Example: canned fruit in fruit juice rather than syrup, graham crackers, goldfish, string cheese, etc.
* one package of wipes per child per two months you are signed up (if you have a little one)

Verifications will be emailed every week by 5 pm Tuesday for drop-in status. Monthly options will know ahead.
