Question:  What is the difference between the St. John’s Church Legacy Society & the Endowment Fund?

Answer:
The Legacy Society is an honorary organization created to acknowledge those who have made a financial commitment in their estate plan to further the ministry of St. John’s Church. (People) 

The Endowment Fund facilitates planned gifts and bequests in order to insure St. John's long-term future and on-going mission, ministry and operation. (Administration)

Question: I am a pledging member of St. John’s Church and would be interested in making a pledge to our Endowment Fund. What legal documents (forms) do I need to execute? Should I contact a lawyer, or can the church provide me with them?

Answer:
A Codicil is one tool used for designating a pledge to the St. John’s Endowment Fund in your Will.  A sample may be obtained in the St. John’s office, but you are strongly urged to consult your legal counsel to be sure it is appropriate for your circumstances.
