St. John's provides activities for children to increase their knowledge and understanding of the Episcopal expression of the Christian faith.  We seek, as well, to strengthen their commitment and faith in Christ and to enable members of all ages to integrate the Church's theology with their experience.  Open discussion and challenge are valued and encouraged.

GODLY PLAY
This unique approach to religious education invites children, age three through fifth grade, to wonder about God, themselves, and the world in a way that is playful and meaningful to them. Godly Play respects the innate spirituality of children and encourages them to use their curiosity and imagination to experience the mystery and joy of God. Godly Play is offered at the 10:00 am service, and parallels the service offered in the church, in a child-centered environment that is safe and open to teachable moments about our faith. 

All of our teaching staff is trained in Godly Play, and Sexual Abuse Prevention, and have cleared background check, and are aware of our safety and illness policies.

NURSERY
Childcare is provided each Sunday during the 10:00 am services. Our staff provides children three and under with a safe and friendly environment while parents worship.
