Adult

Christian education for adults consists of the activities listed below. St. John's is blessed to have a number of parishioners who are either ordained ministers or who have a graduate level education in theology. Adult classes are designed to engage the curiosity of attendees about serious questions regarding God and the life of discipleship in Christ. The types of educational activities include:

CONFIRMATION CLASS FOR ADULTS
This series of classes is primarily designed to prepare adults to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church. It is also designed for adults who desire to be received into the church or to reaffirm the confirmation vows they made as young adults. The focus of the class is an introspective exploration of each participant's initial understanding and experience of God, in light of the Episcopal expression of Christianity as found in the Book of Common Prayer and the Bible. Most important, all participants are challenged to consider the reasons why they want to become part of the Episcopal communion and what their responsibilities will be as disciples of Christ in the Church.
